During Carol’s high school career she earned 9 varsity letters; 3 in Cross Country; 2 in Basketball and 4 in Spring Track & Field. In 1979 Carol was the MVP in Cross Country and qualified for the PIAA State Cross Country meet. As a senior, in 1980, Carol lead the Bux-Mont Basketball League in scoring, was first team all Bux-Mont and was the MVP for the girls basketball team. In Track & Field her senior year she won 4 gold medals in the Bux-Mont league Championships; 1600m, 800m, 4X800m and 4X400m. She qualified for the PIAA State Track & Field Meet all 3 years of high school and was the MVP of the girls Track & Field team in 1980. In 1979 at the PIAA Spring Track & Field Championships she placed 7th in the 400 meters and anchored the 4X800m relay to a State Championship. In 1980 at the District 1 meet she placed first in the 4X800m relay and 2nd in the 800 meters. At the PIAA Spring State Championships Carol anchored the 4X800m Relay to a come from behind win and new school record; she placed 2nd in the 800 meters in a school record time. (1st place went to Kim Gallagher who set the state record and later was USA Olympian) Carol, during her career set school records in the 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 4X400m relay, 4X800m relay and 1600m sprint medley relay. She went on to run and place 4th in the 800 meters at Junior National Championship and 6th place in the 800 meters at the National Junior Olympics. Carol received a Track scholarship to the University of Oklahoma; while there she qualified for the AIAW Cross Country Nationals 1980; indoors ran on the DMR, 4X800m Relays; ran and qualified for indoor nationals in the 1000yd. run; Big 8 indoor and outdoor 4X800m relay champion. In 1981 she was All American University of Oklahoma.
Carol resides in Jamesville, NY, with husband Rob and children Melissa, Rachel, Zachary and Christopher.
