Bruce was a three sport athlete in football, wrestling, and baseball at North Penn.

He received a varsity letter his sophomore and junior seasons playing football.  In 1968 he was elected football team captain and the team went on to be 1968 co-champions of the Bux Mont League.  As a senior Bruce was a first team All Bux Mont selection at two positions: defensive end and offensive guard.  At the end of season awards he received NPHS Most Valuable Player Award in Football.  He was then chosen to play on the Suburban All-Star team.  Bruce started at defensive end for the Suburban All-Stars against the Philadelphia All-Stars.

In the winter season Bruce wrestled and received varsity letters his sophomore and junior seasons.  During his senior year, Bruce was crowned the Bux-Mont Heavyweight Champion and captured NPHS Most Valuable Senior Award in Wrestling.

During the spring Bruce played Baseball and lettered his sophomore and junior seasons.  In the 1969 baseball season, Bruce played first base and led the team in hitting.  North Penn Baseball went on to win the 1969 Bux-Mont League Baseball Team Championship.  Bruce was selected 1st Team All Bux-Mont at first base and was named NPHS Most Valuable Player Award in Baseball.

Following his outstanding athletic career at North Penn, Bruce attended Wesley Junior College where he excelled in football; All American tackle for 2 years and wrestling was an undefeated heavyweight.  In 1970 he was received Wesley’s Most Outstanding Athlete Award.

Bruce continued his football career at Wake Forest University where he was elected team captain and won the Bill George Award for Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman.

After leaving College Bruce began a Coaching career.  He was assistance footall for tow years at Dover High School; became Head Baseball coach at Dover High for two years winning the York-Adams League Championship and became a PIAA District 3, District qualifier. In the community baseball;  manager of the Teener League for 10 years with 8 Championships; American Legion Baseball 12 years with 10 League Championships and Dover Central League Baseball Twi-Light League 13 years with 9 Championships.

Bruce presently resides in Dover, PA.
