Brenda moved into the North Penn School District in January of 1976, second semester of her junior year.  In the winter of 1976 she joined the Boys Volleyball team (there was no girls’ volleyball) and lettered. As a senior, 1977, she was the captain of the boys’ volleyball team and lettered.  Sin the fall of 1976, she was a member of the Girls Cross Country team, lettered and received a Coaches Award.   It was in Track & Field where Brenda really made her mark. In 1976 she medaled at the league and district in a verity of events; long jump, shot put, 4X200 relay and 1st place 800 medley relay at the District Meet.  At the PIAA State Track Championship she won a gold medal and set a State record in the 800 medley relay; which still stands today.  She was awarded NPHS junior class high scorer in Track & Field award.  Her 1977 Track season was similar to her junior season.  She medaled at the league and district in a verity of events, long jump, shot put, High Jump 4th place, qualifying for the State meet,; Triple Jump; 4X400 relay and 800 medley relay.  At the PIAA State Track Championships she placed 2ndin the 800m medley relay.  It was in the 4X400m relay that the North Penn Team made history.  In the trials, becoming the first girls 4X400m relay, in Pennsylvania, to run under 4 minutes; the team placed fourth in the finals. She was awarded the NPHS team and senior class high score award.  At the end of her high school Track career Brenda had set school records in the Shot Put, High Jump, 4X200m relay, 4X400m relay and 800m medley relay.In 1977 Brenda went to East Stroudsburg State College.  While at East Stroudsburg she participated in Volleyball and Track & Field lettering in both.  Brenda graduated cum laude from East Stroudsburg State College in 1981 with a BS in Health and Physical Education. She is a certified trainer at the high school level. Brenda taught in the Nazareth School District 1982-1985 and then in the Pleasant Valley School District from 1985 to the present.

Brenda presently resides near Nazareth, PA, with husband Darwin and daughters Brianna and Lauren.
