Tom was a 3-sport letter winner in Football, Basketball and Baseball.  The undefeated Lansdale High School Football Team (11-0) were Bux-Mont Champions.  Tom lettered three years -- All Bux-Mont First Team End, 1948, and led the team in scoring.  In Basketball, Tom lettered his junior and senior years.  The Team reached the Playoffs in 1949.  In Baseball, Tom lettered three years.

In 1950, Tom continued his education and athletic career at St. Leo’s Prep School (Florida).  From 1951-54, he was a member of the U.S. Air Force, where he played athletics and coached.  He received his B.S. Degree in 1958 from West Chester State Teachers College; where he lettered in football and baseball. Then earned his Master’s Degree from Temple University in 1962.

Tom coached high school football in three states:  New Jersey, Florida and California.  He also coached football at the University of Pacific as a volunteer for 15 years, and officiated at both the high school and collegiate levels.
