Bob was a 3-sport athlete, lettering in Football, Wrestling, and Track & Field.  His senior year was one of great success: Football:  Running Back on the 1968 Bux-Mont. Co-Champion Football Team. Football:  “Most Versatile” Award. Wrestling:  “Most Outstanding Wrestler” and Captain of NPHS Wrestling Team. In wrestling he was Bux-Mont and Sectional Champion with 17 wins, 3 losses.  Bob was the first North Penn Scholar/Athlete to win the “Dannehower Award”.  Bob was a three-year starter as running back on the Lehigh University Football Team, where he was leading scorer in 1972. He played fullback his senior year. Bob red shirted his sophomore year and graduated from Lehigh University in 1973.

Robert T. Stewart joined Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP in 2003 and is a partner in and head of the Environmental and Administrative Law practice group. During the previous 26 years of his legal career, Mr. Stewart was an equity partner at two of the country’s largest law firms. He provides legal counsel to a wide range of industrial clients, focusing on air pollution control, toxic torts, environmental criminal investigations, cost recovery for waste remediation and environmental enforcement defense. He represents a broad array of industrial and commercial clients in administrative and federal and state court proceedings. Mr. Stewart has extensive experience in handling matters before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Stewart worked as a chemical engineer for Union Carbide Corporation.Mr. Stewart is listed as one of the leading environmental lawyers in the state of Texas by Chambers Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Stewart is a 1977 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, where he was Order of the Coif. He received his Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1973. He was Chair of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas in 2001-2002. Outside of his professional practice, Mr. Stewart is head of the Austin chapter of the Lehigh University Alumni Association. He and his wife, Susan, are members of Grace Covenant Church, where Bob is a Stephen Leader. The Stephen Ministry provides lay people with 50 hours of training and peer supervision to help care for people who are navigating through hard times.
